What is the Baracuta G9 Harrington?Updated 10 months ago

The G9 is Baracuta's most iconic Harrington Jacket. It was designed in 1937 and introduced for the first time in 1938. It has been worn by celebrities and fashion icons ever since. The Baracuta G9 Harrington Jacket features some truly iconic details including a ribbed hem and cuffs, a two-button dog ear collar, two slanted pockets secured with single-button closures, an umbrella back yoke and the iconic Fraser Tartan lining.

The Baracuta G9 Harrington jacket was created by brothers John and Isaac Miller, avid golf enthusiasts who noticed that golfers were not properly dressed for the humid and windy climate of Manchester. They designed a unique jacket with ribbed hem and cuffs, a two-button stand-up collar, an internal pocket, and strategically placed pockets with a slanted cut and single-button closure, designed to hold two golf balls. The finishing touch to this already iconic jacket is the yoke with an umbrella motif and incorporated ventilation that makes the garment more breathable. In the name of the G9 jacket, the "G" stands for "golf," and the "9" pays homage to the 9 holes of a golf course.
